** Register now for the 2020-2021 season**
Our next meeting is on Sunday, October 4, 6:30-8:00PM
Greetings to our Boston Recorder Society members and friends. We hope you are staying safe in this difficult time.
Please join the Boston Recorder Society for the 2020-2021 season, our 66th year of playing together.
If you play recorders, baroque flute or other early winds, or baroque strings, we're looking forward to making music with you! And in fact, you can join on any A=440 instrument, because currently we meet online for 90 minutes of playing via Zoom. Participants simultaneously play duets along with the coach and are muted in the meeting so that they hear only the coach.
We are happy to have Jacqueline Schwab as our coach for the October meeting. The theme of the meeting will be Lifting Your Music (and Spirits): a Workshop on Playing for English Country Dancing.
Music and link to the zoom session will be sent to all Fall/Winter ensemble members. Basic members and non members will receive the information upon registring and paying the meeting fee, so hurry up and register! We hope to see you (virtually speaking!) on October 4.
** Membership Options for the Fall/Winter Semester **
Joining the Boston Recorder Society supports the organization and gives you a voice in our planning, including voting at our annual meeting.
We are registering members for a fall/winter semester of September through January. We strongly encourage you to support us by joining and becoming a member, but alternatively you can also pay for individual meetings.
Basic Membership: $30 for the entire 2020-2021 season.
Basic members can attend single ensemble sessions at the member discount rate of $15 per session. Even if you don't attend regularly, becoming a basic member shows your support for BRS goals and allows you to have a voice in BRS planning and to vote at the annual meeting. (Basic membership fee is tax-deductible.)
Fall/winter Ensemble Membership: $85, or $75 for seniors, full-time students, low income, ARS members.
(A portion of the ensemble membership fee equivalent to the basic membership fee is tax-deductible.)
Non-member attendance fee: $20 per session.
